Private, in-home training available within Pinellas County.

Small group classes (6 dogs maximum) are held indoors at the Dunedin Community Center. Classes are one-hour long and meet once a week for six weeks. All behaviors are taught without the use of force (no choke, pinch or shock collars!)

Classes currently offered include:

Dog Manners – for dogs 4 months of age or older

Classes will include instruction for dog parents to train their dogs to perform a variety of basic behaviors, including sit, down, come, walk nicely on a leash, wait at the door, and more. Instruction on effective management practices for dealing with common behavioral issues such as chewing, housetraining, and jumping will also be covered. Course includes homework sheets, handouts and a certificate of completion.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Preparation Class & Test

This class is for people who have taken their dog through Adult Doggie Manners class.

Passing the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test is a wonderful goal for all dogs and their owners to work toward together. The test demonstrates that your dog is well-mannered in a variety of situations. All ten of the required test exercises will be covered in class:
  1. Accepting a friendly stranger
  2. Sitting politely for petting
  3. Appearance and grooming
  4. Walking on a loose leash
  5. Walking through a crowd
  6. Sit, Down and Stay in place
  7. Coming when called
  8. Reaction to another dog
  9. Reaction to distractions
  10. Supervised separation
The CGC test will be given on the last night of the six-week class session and is included in the cost of the class.
